I was asked by a friend to do the poster for a high school production of the play Steel Magnolias. The job was a bit of a challenge given that the design had to fit on letter size paper and also be black and white so that it could be easily photocopied. The resulting design is quite minimal but still has a whimsical take on both the title of the play and the hair salon that plays such a prominent role.
